Another sustainable innovation goal for wood coatings
LIFE is the main program of the European Union to promote protection of the environment, nature and biodiversity by financially supporting green economy projects.
In particular, it encourages the efficient use of resources in all industrial sectors, pollution prevention, waste reduction and the sustainable management of natural resources.
IVM Chemicals, the company carrying out the production activities of IVM Group, continues pursuing the development of environmentally-sustainable wood coatings thanks to the LIFE-Waterborne BioPaint project. Its aim is to develop biorenewably-sourced waterborne coating products, yielding a reductions of 66%.in CO2 emissions relative to the Life Cycle Assessment of current productions.
