The innovative technology and process of the project Life Waterborne BioPAINT will be piloted in the following stages:
- design, engineering, procurement and installation of the prototype screw-extrusion system already identified at the lab level as the key technology;
- development of optimal emulsification processes for a variety of high quality binders, particularly biobased;
- formulation of waterborne coating products employing them;
- validation of the results with stakeholders, particularly final users;
- dissemination campaign;
- the project concludes with environmental impact (EIA) and life-cycle (LCA) assessments for products and processes and with the presentation of the results obtained.
